**This position is no longer available**

The Carolina Youth Action Project (CYAP) is an abolitionist organization that centers political education and community organizing to build power among girls, trans youth, and gender nonconforming youth. We envision a South Carolina transformed by the radical organizing of girls, trans youth, and gender nonconforming youth, where our communities work collectively to dismantle the existing structures of domination, violence, and punishment that shape their lives and create spaces for growth and healing in their place.

The Carolina Youth Action Project is seeking a Development Lead to manage the financial development of the organization through grassroots and foundation fundraising. The Development Lead will serve as a member of the core team who grounds and guides CYAP’s work. CYAP is a growing organization and this position provides opportunities for staff members to expand their roles and salaries as the organization expands.

We believe that our leaders should reflect the communities in which we work. Therefore, women, trans people, gender nonconforming people, people of color, working class people, and people who have been directly impacted by the justice system are strongly encouraged to apply.
