Rock Camp Applications are Live!
Applications are now available for Rock Camp 2019! This year, camp is taking place at Palmetto Scholars Academy from July 15th-19th and the Rock Camp Showcase is happen on Saturday, July 20th!
Rock camp is a space for girls, trans youth, and gender nonconforming youth that centers music and social justice! There are three different ways for folks to get involved in Rock Camp, listed below. All camper, youth leader, and volunteer applications are due June 8th!
Rock Out as a Camper!
This position is ideal for youth who are new to Rock Camp! Girls, trans youth, and gender nonconforming youth ages 9-18 who attend as campers learn how to play guitar, bass, drums, or the keyboard, write an original song with their band, and perform in front of friends, family, and community members at our camp showcase. Throughout the week, campers also participate in workshops focusing on a variety of issues including: gender and sexuality, anti-racism, self-defense, screen printing, self-care, and more.

Grow as a Youth Leader!
This position is best suited for youth ages 13-18 who are excited about developing the skills and critical analysis necessary to lead a movement for radical and lasting change in South Carolina! The Youth Leader Institute serves as a crash course in community organizing and political education related to our two campaigns: Safer Schools Without SROs and Sex Education Beyond Abstinence. Youth leaders also get to learn to play instruments and perform an original song with their band at the camp showcase.

Support Youth as a Volunteer!
This position is best suited for women, trans adults, and gender nonconforming adults ages 19+ who are stoked about using their superpowers to make Rock Camp 2019 the best ever! No musical experience is required and there are a variety of flexible roles to fill, including workshop facilitator, food team member, instrument instructor, and more.
